Painted Bunting, Passerina ciris. Uncommon and secretive, sometimes coming up to east-central U.S. during breeding season, more commonly in the central south. Diet consists mainly of grains and seeds, mixing in insects during the breeding season. As adults, they are very distinct, males having bright red, blue, and green coloring while females have overall green coloring.
